Minneapolis College of Art & Design Directory Maps

Each of the 15 site specific Minneapolis College of Art & Design (MCAD) Directory Maps were developed with the objective to organize the complex interior environments of MCAD. Furthermore, emphasis was placed on creating a visually engaging system that could be interpreted quickly by the end-user of the map. One of the greatest challenges in conceiving and formulating this system of directory maps was synthesizing the user’s physical (3D) environment with the virtual (2D) environment represented within the map itself.
